The Pleasantville Fund for Learning is a 501(c)(3) organization. All contributions are tax deductible.

The typical Fund for Learning grant is under $2,000. On occasion, we have also been able to make a large grant to “jump-start” education in a new direction -- like the High School math computers this year, the Lego robotics for the Middle School Technology class last year, or the BRS Levelled Libraries in 2006.

Your $25 gift could add books to one of the BRS classroom levelled libraries.

$100 might buy a new musical arrangement for one of our string or jazz ensembles.

$1000 or more will have a wonderful impact -- enabling a grant which would not otherwise be funded or putting a new piece of technology into eager hands.

The Annual Dinner Dance and Silent Auction

Fabulous food , dancing to live music, and a chance to have fun with your friends and neighbors!

Many of our supporters look forward to dressing up and mingling with old friends and new. The silent and live auctions (made possible by the generosity of individuals and businesses in our community) provide entertainment as well as an opportunity to contribute to the PFFL.

This year, the Harvest Moon Dinner Dance will be at Crabtree's Kittle House. Fine food, live music -- and a good cause!

Tickets are $150, $250 or $500, depending upon your desired contribution. Wine, beer and soft drinks are included in addition to hors d'ouvres and a fine meal. You can arrange your own table (up to 12 people) or let us seat you.

We hope you will join us! If you're not sure if you're on our mailing list, just e-mail us or call Lisa Ultan at 741-0882.

Alumni Bricks

Have you noticed the lovely brick semi-circle in front of Pleasantville High School? The bricks in Alumni Circle bear the names and dates of Pleasantville graduates and teachers. Every fall, new bricks are installed by the honoree (or designate) in a personalized ceremony led by the Pleasantville Fund for Learning and attended by many of our administrators and School Board members, as well as the families of those honored. The contribution is $100 per brick.
